My Journey to Yoga

Hello and welcome! If you've gotten this far I bet you're probably wondering why or how I began my yoga practice and why I teach. Well here is my story:

I first started practicing yoga 5 years ago. It was recommended by my chiropractor at the time after a back injury in the gym, so I used it for rehabilitation purposes, but soon enough I discovered the mental and spiritual benefits yoga had to offer. At that time in my life, I was dealing with a stressful job in the corporate world and felt overworked and unappreciated, not to mention l was secretly suffering from anxiety attacks and was coping with losing my mother to cancer. So I was dealing with a lot, but every time I stepped out onto the mat I found relief and a renewed sense of self. In 2017 I decided to learn more about the yoga practice and as a result, received my 200 HR certification in June of that year. Soon after I began to teach in an effort to bring others peace of mind and help them to cultivate a deeper connection with themselves. I continued my studies and received an additional 300 HR certification after a stay in Rishikesh, India, which is said to be the birthplace of yoga. 


Yoga is the journey to self through self, aiming to unite the mind, body, and spirit, and I have made it my mission to utilize the practice as a vehicle in helping to guide others along this journey.
